Description

Fluorogenic Cytochrome P450 and microsomal dealkylase substrate for differentiation of several isoforms of these enzymes producing a blue fluorescence emission upon enzyme activity.

This CYP450 substrate produces the blue fluorescent dye 7-hydroxycoumarin upon enzyme activity. This substrate, along with other alkyl resorufins such as the methyl and benzyl ethers (Products M1209 and M1166) has also been extensively used to differentiate the various isozymes of the Cytochrome P450 system. O-Dealkylations of resorufin and coumarin ethers are mediated by microsomal cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenases from animals, plants and microorganisms. 7-hydroxycoumarin M1280 is produced as a result of enzymatic activity.
