From the Eugene Airport (approx. 9.6 miles, 15.4 km, 20 min):
- When leaving the airport, take Green Hill Road south to Airport Road.
- Turn left onto Airport Road and proceed east to US Hwy 99.
- Turn right onto Highway-99 and continue south approximately 7 miles past where Highway-99 becomes 7th Avenue.
- Following the signs for the University of Oregon, 7th Avenue in turn becomes Franklin Avenue past downtown.
- Turn left into the U.O. Riverfront Research Park on Riverfront Parkway.
- Turn right at the first intersection onto Millrace Drive.
- Marker Gene is located on the second floor of the 1850 Millrace Drive building (the second building east on Millrace Drive). Guest Parking is available in front of the building.
From San Francisco (going north on I-5; approx. 433 miles, 8.5 hours):
- Take I-5 north toward Eugene.
- Exit I-5 at the OR-99 exit (exit 192) toward Eugene.
- Merge onto Franklin Blvd. Remain in the right hand lane.
- Turn right into the Riverfront Research Park on Riverfront Parkway (approx. 1 mile from the I-5 interchange)
- Turn right onto Millrace Drive.
- Marker Gene is located on the second floor of the 1850 Millrace Drive building (the second building east on Riverfront Parkway). Guest parking is available in front of the building.
From Portland (going south on I-5; approx. 116 miles, 186.9 km, 2hrs 14min):
- Take I-5 south toward Salem.
- Continue south and exit I-5 at exit 191 - Glenwood.
- Turn right onto Glenwood Blvd.. Cross the I-5 bridge and re-enter I-5 Northbound.
- Take I-5 North, stay in the right lane and exit at the first exit 192 toward Eugene.
- Merge onto Franklin Blvd. (heading west).
- Turn right into the Riverfront Research Park on Riverfront Parkway (approx. 1 mile from the I-5 interchange).
- Turn right onto Millrace Drive.
