Marker Gene Technologies, Inc. is currently recruiting an experienced qualified individual with a B.S. or M.S. level background in Chemistry for a position in our Research and Development Laboratory and Production Facilities on a full time basis. Persons with 2-5 years of industrial experience in Modern Organic Chemical Synthesis, Low and Medium Pressure Liquid Column Chromatrography Purification, Thin-Layer Chromatrography, Crystallization, Fluorescence and UV Analysis Methods, HPLC Method Development and Analysis, Proton and Carbon-13 NMR Analysis or similar areas of expertise are encouraged to apply. Good communication and writing skills, knowledge of standard computer word processing programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and an attention to detail are required. The qualified individual will work as a member of a team effort in the design and synthesis of new and existing products. Proven ability to work as a member of a team and also independently on complex scientific projects will be given careful consideration. Salary commensurate with experience.

Business Development Manager

Marker Gene Technologies is currently seeking a senior Business Development Manager to assist at our corporate headquarters in Eugene, Oregon.  This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business or sales management, or equivalent training in lieu of degree. An MBA is preferred. Persons with experience in developing business prospects, closing sales, a knowledge of biotechnology and bioscience industry’s products, pricing practices, and business operations and previous business development experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will also have excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, experience in business contract negotiation, in-licensing and out-licensing of biotechnology products, knowledge of biotechnology patent law and sales and marketing experience. The qualified individual will be required to work closely with our business and research staff to develop effective business plans to secure growth by developing business opportunities, work independently to identify companies in assigned areas that will benefit from the companies technologies, meet assigned revenue targets with emphasis on selling and new revenue generation, generate new business and expand our current customer base through direct, face to face customer contact and cold-calling to generate and close new business opportunities by promoting current technologies and emerging technologies as they become available.  Marker Gene Technologies, Inc. is a leader in the development and marketing of new and innovative technologies in the biotechnology and medicinal chemistry fields.
