Description

Sensitive fluorogenic substrate for leucine aminopeptidase and aminopeptidase M detection which releases the bright blue fluorescent dye, 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin M1059 upon enzyme activity with emission 440nm upon at excitation 380nm.

This fluorogenic enzyme substrate L-Leucine-4-methylcoumaryl-7-amide - Leu-AMC is widely used as a high sensitive substrate for aminopeptidase M and for leucine aminopeptidase. Leu-MCA (Methyl-Cumarinyl Amide) is another synonym for Leu-AMC. The sensitivity of this enzyme substrate using fluorescence detection is greatly increased over other methods such as 4-Methoxy-naphthylamide (pNA) assays.
