MR-DEVD2 Apoptosis Detection Kits
Magic Red™ products are substrate-based assays designed to detect protease activity within whole living cells, using a fluroescence microscope.
Magic Red™ assays are based on a the cresyl violet leaving group that fluoresces once the enzyme specific peptides are cleaved. No wash steps are required, making these kits very user friendly.
In these kits, Magic Red™ is covalently attached to a specific peptide (DEVD) that when cleaved, causes the Magic Red™ to fluoresce. Assay kits are available in 25-test and 100-test sizes.
These Magic
Red™ substrate-based assays are designed to detect Caspase protease activity
within whole living cells, using fluorescence microscopy. Magic Red™ assays are based on the cresyl
violet leaving group that fluoresces upon enzyme specific peptidase activity.
