Description

Riboflavin is a common component of tissue culture media. Riboflavin galactoside can be used to select for lacZ transfected cells in culture.

This analog of riboflavin (vitamin B2) will release the active riboflavin upon action of β-galactosidase enzyme activity. Riboflavin is a common component of tissue culture media and the analog can be used as in selection systems for lacZ positive cell lines.
