Long wavelength, blue-green fluorogenic β-galactosidase probe that has a lower pKa for higher fluorescence in the physiological pH range.

This MUG analog has as a lower pKa for higher fluorescence emission in the physiological pH range. It can be used in many of the lacZ detection schemes in place of MUG without the requirement for a stop buffer treatment to develop the fluorescence emission.
